American Marketing Association

Sales and fundrasing is our largest committee and involves fun experiences. AMA used to work Excel Energy Center events such as; concerts, hockey games, etc. to raise money; however, we will be raising money differently this year. Sales and fundraising also puts on a raffle every year, raising a great deal of money and letting our supporters win some very generous prizes.

 

Our membership committee is concerned with getting new members and keeping current members active. This committee will focus on bringing in new members throughout the year and also putting on an end of the year ceremony for our members. Here they will be recognized for their achievements in AMA throughtout the year or semester.

 

The finance committee is typically a small committe, due to the fact that it is mainly concerned with keeping up with our bank accounts and being completely accountable for all of the money AMA raises throughout the year.

 

Our communications committee keeps out website up to date. If you have not checked out the AMA website, please do so at ama.uwstout.edu. The website is an important way to communicate with out members. It is out goal to make sure that it is always up to date so current and potential members can find out when and where our meetings are.

 

The prgrams committee frequently brings in speakers who have graduated from UW-Stout or speakers who work for companies in Minnesota to broaden out views and see where our college career can take us. Programs is in charge of Homecoming events and the Ice Softball tournament in the sping as well.

 

Careers and Placement focuses on preparing our members for their career by holding resume and interviewing workshops. It also plays a large role in the Career Conference during the first semester. During spring semester Career Services will be planning an alumni reunion where previous AMA members can come back to Stout. It's always nice learning what has beome of Stout graduates.
